The system supports intuitive functionality for as-of processing. If an as-of event is posted to the system and satisfies period-end restrictions, GPS will automatically adjust all subsequent events such as disposals and corporate actions to reflect the correct new position and costs.

The GPS three-tier client/server architecture allows organizations to integrate GPS with virtually any technical environment. This three-tier approach allows the different tiers of the application - the user interface, application logic and databases - to be located on separate machines, hence optimizing the tiers for maximum performance and functionality.
