DST Systems, Inc. Announces Notification of Earnings Release Date

KANSAS CITY, MO. (March 31, 2005) - DST Systems, Inc. (NYSE: DST) will release its financial results for the first quarter, ending March 31, 2005, on Monday, April 25, 2005, after the close of the market.

The Company will host a conference call on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at 10:00 A.M. Central Standard Time (CST). The dial-in number is (800) 288-8975, callers should reference the First Quarter Earnings Release. For international callers, the dial-in number is (612) 332-0932.
