Downtown Kansas City has been home to DST since we opened our first office here in 1969. We now occupy 10 buildings in the downtown area—two built by us and many more that we have restored. As a major property owner, we have a vested interest in the strength and continued growth of this city.
We had heavy involvement in the rebirth of the Quality Hill neighborhood. The transformation of this area into an upscale residential section that also includes a cluster of not-for-profit headquarters, has helped make downtown’s West Side a more friendly environment.
This area is now as varied in its retail and entertainment offerings as it is in its variety of businesses, and is as conducive to residential interests as it is to commercial.
