AWD/NetServer

DST developed AWD/NetServer™ to meet clients’ changing needs and to extend AWD®'s client/server architecture to support business object processing. With business object processing, key software components are serviced on a middle tier, reducing the amount of processing required by the client. AWD/NetServer provides a middle tier that enables both simple and complex Web-based applications by using the latest in object management technology.

AWD/NetServer receives processing requests through a Web server and formats the resulting data for the AWD host server. This means that all the remote processing that is accomplished through the Web site is stored within the workflow environment.

Also, AWD data transferred through the Internet or a custom application is secured with existing AWD security views and AWD/NetServer’s logon routine. With AWD/NetServer, DST clients can use the latest Web security techniques to encrypt data as well.
