Proven Technology

With TA2000, all you need is one - one single, scaleable platform for supporting open-end mutual funds, plan/participant recordkeeping, and brokerage subaccounting.

Since 1991, we have invested more than $1.7 billion to enhance the TA2000 platform for optimum performance and accessibility. Nearly 90 percent of TA2000 is built on a relational database (DB2), an access method used in all of our development in the past 16 years. TA2000 also offers accessibility through multiple messaging tools, including built-in APIs, XML, and IBM WebSphere MQ.

Graphical User Interface
TA2000 Desktop is an intuitive, graphical user interface, designed to help simplify transaction processing, call center operations, and correspondence. With AWD, DST's business process management solution, TA2000 Desktop provides an integrated view for:

  • Access to customer databases needed to answer customer inquiries on the first call.
  • Automated letter and e-mail generation with AWD's correspondence solution, EnCorr.
  • Improved servicing and quality control with AWD/Voice record-and-playback software.
  • Improved productivity with automated work delivery.
  • Call center scripts and predefined business rules to guide customer service representatives (CSRs) and processors through standard tasks and processes.

Real-Time Reporting Capabilities
PowerSelect is DST's flexible tool for point-in-time reports from TA2000. With PowerSelect, you can run virtually unlimited queries on shareholder/participant account and transaction information and create reports to analyze customer and fund information. PowerSelect integrates with other third-party, ODBC/JDBC-compliant reporting tools, including Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Sybase InfoMaker, Cognos Impromptu, and Microsoft Excel and Access.

State-of-the-Art Data Centers
DST clients rely on dedicated, secure, reliable data management and disaster recovery from the DST Data Centers. Each center is protected by state-of-the-art physical and electronic security, climate control, and 24x7 operations monitoring. The two data centers are located 250 miles apart in compliance with recommendations by the federal government.

Winchester Data Center
One of the nation's largest, most advanced private data centers, with a systems capacity of more than 15,000 MIPS.

Recovery Center
Offers unmatched disaster recovery, with data mirroring and network feeds from Winchester, enabling DST to restart full production processing at the point of interruption.
